Safety Manager
We are looking for an experienced safety manager (bilingual English/Korean) to oversee the construction safety and health program and onsite operations. The safety manager is responsible for regular safety inspections to maintain a safe workplace and ensure compliance with national, state, company, and client requirements.
Responsibilities
• Develops and helps enforce a plan to eliminate hazards, conducting training sessions for management, supervisors, and workers on health and safety practices and regulations, as necessary.
• Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.
• Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.
• Prepares and conducts safety training sessions for employees and vendors
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, EPA, etc.)
• Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.
• Plans, implements, manages, and maintains comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on premises or at project site locations.
• Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management. Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
• Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence.
• Track incident metrics and apply findings
• Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.
Requirements
• Must be Korean/English bilingual
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Proven experience as Safety Manager (must have at least 5 years of experience in safety position).
• Must have OSHA 500 certification (must still have OSHA card in your possession).
• Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
• Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
• Excellent organizational and motivational skills
• Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
